Choosing Your Starting Point
Choosing the right dance class for your child is easy, the first step is finding the program stream that best matches their age, interests, and goals. At The Hills Dance Factory in Dural, we offer three exciting pathways designed to nurture every child — from their very first steps to advanced performance teams
Pre School Stream
At The Hills Dance Factory in Dural, our preschoolers love Ready Set Dance. This is an award-winning program for ages 2 – 5 taught at hundreds of studios worldwide.
As an official location, we offer a lively combo class including Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, singing and music, designed to keep little ones engaged while building Confidence, Coordination and Creativity.
It’s inclusive, upbeat and led by trained teachers who help every child feel safe, supported and proud.
Fun Stream
Not every dancer wants competitions or multiple classes a week and that’s totally fine. Our Fun Stream is for kids and teens who want to dance for friendship, fitness and fun, usually once per week, while still learning from qualified teachers in a supportive environment.
Styles include Jazz, Hip Hop (most popular), Tap and Ballet. Our Fun classes are marked with the Fun icon on our timetable. All of our Fun students still take part in our Annual Concert at the end of the year.
Team Stream
For dancers who want to take their training to the next level, our TEAM Stream offers a supportive pathway with more opportunities to perform, grow and excel.
TEAM students build strong technique, confidence and teamwork, with performances across the year including eisteddfods, community events and our Annual Concert.
Most TEAM students attend a minimum of 3 classes per week, including at least one Ballet/Technique class. All classes on the timetable (including the Fun Stream) are open to Team students.
What Happens At The Trial?
Step 1 — Arrive & check in
Please arrive 5 – 10 minutes early and head to our waiting room.
Step 2 — Meet your teacher
Before class starts, the teacher will come out, introduce themselves, and take the students into the studio together.
Step 3 — Parents can stay & watch
Parents/carers are welcome to stay in the waiting room and watch via our CCTV system.
Step 4 — Pick up (safety first)
At the end of the lesson, your teacher will bring students back into the waiting room for pick-up. No dancer is allowed to leave the premises without a parent.
If your child feels a little shy at first, don’t worry — it’s completely normal. We’re very used to helping new dancers settle in gently and feel confident.
What to wear?
No studio uniform is needed for the trial — just comfortable activewear (leotard, leggings, shorts, t-shirt are all perfect). Dont forget to bring a water bottle.
If you decide to continue, uniforms are available for purchase at the studio when you’re ready.
After The Trial…
If your dancer loves it (we hope they do!), we’ll send you a link to complete enrolment online. It’s quick and easy. You don't have to decide on the day.
We do not have any lock-in contracts, you can adjust / cancel classes at anytime during the year.
And if after the trial HDF isn’t the right fit, that’s totally fine. Just let us know so we can update our records.
