Mini Movers Dance Classes – For Ages 6 & Under
A fun and supportive next step after preschool dance
Starting big school is such an exciting milestone! Alongside new friends and routines, many children are also ready to take their first steps into after-school dance classes. That’s why we created our Mini Movers program — designed to help children transition smoothly from preschool to primary years while keeping the joy of dance alive.
Why Mini Movers Matters
At The Hills Dance Factory, we know how important it is for kids to feel a sense of belonging. Dance friends often become the friendships that last — offering joy, support, and confidence both inside and outside the studio. Parents benefit too, forming their own connections while waiting at the studio, cheering from the audience, or supporting backstage.
What is Mini Movers?
Mini Movers introduces dancers aged 6 years and under to dedicated 1-hour classes in:
Ballet – building posture, strength, and grace.
Tap – developing rhythm, timing, and coordination.
Jazz – fun, energetic movement to music kids love.
These core classes provide a strong foundation for future dance styles while keeping things fun, creative, and confidence-building.
For Little Performers Who Want More
For children who love performing, Mini Movers also offers the chance to join their very first Jazz Team. Led by Miss Bella, the team meets weekly to work on jazz technique and a fun routine. Performances include three local eisteddfods throughout the year — a perfect way to introduce young dancers to the stage in a positive, age-appropriate way.
Extra commitments for TEAM dancers:
A minimum of two hours of dance per week (Jazz Team + a Ballet or Tap class).
A custom costume purchased for competitions.
Regular attendance to support their teammates and represent HDF proudly.
