At The Hills Dance Factory in Dural, our Rising Stars program is designed for dancers aged 10 years and under who are ready to expand their skills, explore more styles, and grow their confidence both on and off the stage.
Choose the Right Stream for Your Child
Rising Stars students can join one of our three streams, depending on their interests and goals:
Fun Stream – Ideal for kids who want to enjoy dance alongside other sports or hobbies. Classes are once or twice a week and focus on fitness, friendships, and having fun.
Team Stream – Perfect for passionate young dancers who want to take their training further, gain stage experience, and represent HDF at eisteddfods and community events.
Ready Set Dance – Our award-winning preschool program (for little siblings aged 2–5).

Fun Stream.
Dance for Fun & Friendship
In the Fun Stream, Rising Stars can take classes in:
Jazz / Hip Hop
Tap
Ballet
Contemporary / Lyrical (age-appropriate introduction)
These classes are designed to keep kids active, creative, and socially connected, while building strong dance foundations in a positive, supportive environment.
Team Stream.
Team Stream – Taking It Further
For kids who dream of performing and pushing their technique further, the Team Stream offers exciting opportunities. All classes on the timetable are open to you.
Key details for Team dancers:
Minimum of 3 classes per week, including at least one Ballet or Technique class.
Lyrical TEAM students must also enrol in Ballet.
Perform regularly at eisteddfods, festivals, and our professional End-of-Year Concert.
Train with industry professionals, not just student teachers, for the best technical and performance development.
The Team Stream is the ideal pathway for young dancers to build discipline, stage confidence, and long-lasting friendships.
